August 1966: Katie Doan becomes the first member of SLSC to win a medal in national competition. She placed fifth in girls slalom in Miami.
July 1966: Gary Denison becomes Mens State Slalom Champion. May 1966: SLSC cooperates with the Silver Lake Home Owners Association in placing marker buoy along the entire residential shore line of Silver Lake. Jan. 1966: President Ralph De Gayner appointed six members to the first official club ski team. They were Gary Denison, Katie Doan, Dan Denison, Doug Tremblay, Bob Bedell, and Jerry Hosner. July 1965: Don Denison wins State Championship in Junior Boys Slalom. Katie Doan wins her first State Championship in girls Slalom. March 1965: First spring dance is held under the direction of Deanne Wade. July 1964: Jerry Hosner succeeds Lowery Brown as President of MWSA. SLSC sponsors first Flint Olympics Games Water Ski event. May 1964: Drawing is held for the first club raffle. |

July 1961: First annual ski show is presented on Silver Lake. The club had to call in a trick skier and a kite flyer from another club.
